The Kia Forte has received a heavy dose of style and tech for 2022. And in a market where compact sedans are purchased by buyers who are looking for more efficiency, style and technologies than SUV shoppers, this gives the new Forte a great advantage. The Kia Forte also offers large amounts of space to accommodate your family and everything it needs to bring along for the ride.
Here, we compare the 2022 Kia Forte with the 2022 Hyundai Elantra.
The 2022 Kia Forte focusses on space and technologies
A compact sedan doesn’t have to be small. The Forte delivers optimal cargo volume with 434 litres in the trunk. With the Elantra you’ll only get 402 litres, which means you’ll have to sacrifice and leave stuff behind.
The Forte has been redesigned this year with a refreshed look, revised front and rear bumpers, new lights and a new grille. Not only does it look much better than the Elantra, but its cabin is also much more comfortable.
The 2022 Forte also offers you technologies like the optional adaptive cruise control system that uses navigation data to adjust speed based speed limits and prepare the car for curves. The available UVO Intelligence system is also a very useful tool. It provides a series of connected car services you can control through your smartphone.
The 2022 Kia Forte is more advanced in terms of efficiency
Efficiency is also important in an affordable compact car. And Kia made sure the entry-level Kia could provide optimal efficiency to all buyers, especially when they are driving in urban areas.
The Forte’s city fuel consumption goes as low as 8.8 L/100 km when it is equipped with the 6-speed manual gearbox. The Elantra’s city fuel consumption rating is at 9.1 L/100 km with its own version of the 6-speed manual – which is visibly less advanced.
If you don’t opt for the 6-speed manual, you can go for Kia’s Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) which is much more responsive than Hyundai’s traditional continuously variable transmission (CVT). The GT Limited model has a 7-Speed DCT automatic for a sportier drive.
The redesigned 2022 Kia Forte is more efficient, more stylish and offers more value than the Elantra. Come see it today! You can shop for your car online with us. Our representatives are waiting for your call and can answer all your questions.
