Impressive New Features of the 2023 Kia Telluride

The 2023 Kia Telluride is an impressive large three-row SUV that offers many new features that make it more modern and capable.

The dual curved screen dashboard

The 2023 Kia Telluride benefits from a brand-new interior that is distinguished by its dual curved screens that are inspired by the new EV6 and the 2023 Sportage. This element is created by combining two 12.3-inch screens in front of the driver to display the instruments and the infotainment system controls. This disposition makes it easier for the driver to reach the far end of the touchscreen when compared to a traditional flat screen that would be placed closer to the center of the dashboard. In addition, the digital instrument panel allows the driver to configure all of the information they receive while driving, which wasn’t possible in the 2022 Telluride that featured regular analog dials.

The Digital Key technology

Newly available on the Kia Telluride is the Digital Key technology that allows the driver to unlock and start the vehicle using only their phone. Not to be confused with the app-based remote controls that are part of the connected services package, this system works by recognizing the presence of the owner’s phone inside or next to the vehicle in order to allow the doors to be locked and unlocked and the engine to be started. This means that the key doesn’t need to be carried around by the driver, freeing some space in their pockets or their purse.

The Highway Drive Assist 2

The 2023 Kia Telluride also improves on the previous model by adding new driver assistance systems such as the Highway Drive Assist 2 with Lane Change Assist. This technology gives the Telluride the ability to drive almost on its own by controlling the speed and the direction of the vehicle, provided that the driver keeps their hands on the steering wheel. Improving on last year’s system, HDA2 is now capable of making autonomous lane changes that are initiated by the driver holding the turn signal stalk for a few seconds when the other lane is clear of traffic.
