Kia Canada has released the prices for its new 2025 K4 compact sedan, set to arrive in Canadian dealerships this October. The K4 introduces a range of advanced features and technologies to the compact segment, offering customers a compelling blend of style, performance, and value.
The new K4 will be available in five trim levels, with pricing starting at $23,995 MSRP for the base LX IVT model. The lineup extends to the top-tier GT-Line Turbo Limited, priced at $34,495 MSRP. This pricing strategy positions the K4 competitively within the compact sedan market while offering a variety of options to suit different customer preferences and budgets.
"The K4 sets a new benchmark in the compact car segment with inspiring design, meaningful standard features, as well as plenty of technology to meet the needs of many," said David Sherrard, Director of Strategic Planning at Kia Canada. "From advanced safety, to ample performance as well as segment-above rear seat room, the brand-new K4 is going to stand out."
At the heart of the K4's appeal is its impressive array of standard features. All models come equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) including Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go. The K4 also boasts a 12.3-inch multi-display and 4-inch cluster, LED headlamps, and smart key functions with remote engine start.
Two powertrain options are available for the K4. The standard 2.0-litre engine, paired with an Intelligently Variable Transmission (IVT), produces 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. This engine delivers impressive fuel economy, with ratings of 7.9/5.8/7.0 L/100km for city/highway/combined driving.
For those seeking more power, the GT-Line Turbo models feature a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine generating 190 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. These models also include a sporty multi-link rear suspension for enhanced driving dynamics.
The K4's exterior design is characterized by bold proportions, with a length of 4709mm and width of 1849mm, making it the largest vehicle in its class. This translates to a spacious interior, particularly for rear passengers who enjoy 965mm of legroom. The fastback-inspired design incorporates LED lighting elements reminiscent of Kia's flagship EV9, creating a distinctive and modern appearance.
Inside, the K4 offers a premium feel with available features such as a 30-inch display, Digital Key 2.0, heated and ventilated seats, and a Harman Kardon audio system. The interior is available in Medium Grey, Onyx, and Off-White colour schemes, depending on the trim level.
Connectivity is a key focus for the K4, with all models featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The vehicle also supports over-the-air updates through Kia Connect, ensuring that the latest features and improvements can be easily integrated.
