Kia Canada has revealed the pricing and specifications for the 2025 Carnival Hybrid, its inaugural hybrid in the Carnival range. This new model features refined design elements and better fuel efficiency, making it an ideal choice for families looking for a flexible and environmentally-friendly vehicle.

Design Updates and Powertrain

The 2025 Carnival Hybrid showcases a refreshed front-end design featuring Kia's signature star map lighting, reminiscent of the EV9 model. Exterior enhancements include gunmetal finish bumper trims, mouldings, roof rails, door garnish, and skid plates, along with a new black grille and wheels. For those seeking a more striking appearance, a 'dark edition' will be available on SX and SX+ trims.

Under the hood, the Carnival Hybrid boasts a 1.6L turbocharged engine paired with a 54kW drive motor—the highest output in any Kia hybrid model to date. This powertrain combination delivers 242 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, working in tandem with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Fuel Efficiency and Driving Features

The new hybrid model achieves impressive fuel economy ratings of 6.9L/100 km in the city, 7.6L/100 km on the highway, and 7.2L/100 km combined. Drivers can further optimize efficiency by selecting from multiple levels of regenerative braking using paddle shifters, enhancing both driving convenience and energy savings.

The 2025 Kia Carnival Hybrid will be available in Canada across three trim levels, with pricing starting at $46,545 for the base LX+ HEV model. Moving up the range, the mid-tier EX HEV is priced at $49,445, while the top-of-the-line SX+ HEV will command $56,445.
